Refund policy
Overview
Due to the nature of photography and videography services, all bookings with Merlot Visuals are considered custom creative services and are non-refundable.
By booking a session, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.
Non-Refundable Retainers
All retainers paid to secure a booking are strictly non-refundable.
This includes:
- Lifestyle Sessions
- Brand Visuals
- Creative Visuals
Retainers cover time reserved, planning, and scheduling that cannot be recovered once booked.
Cancellations
If a client chooses to cancel a booking:
- The retainer is forfeited
- Any additional payments made may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, but are not guaranteed for refund
Rescheduling
Clients may reschedule once if requested at least 48 hours in advance.
- Reschedules requested within 48 hours may require a new retainer
- Repeated rescheduling may result in cancellation of the booking without refund
No-Shows
Failure to appear for a scheduled session without prior notice will result in:
- Full forfeiture of all payments made
- Requirement of a new booking and retainer to reschedule
Digital Deliverables
All delivered photos and videos are final once released.
Because digital products cannot be returned:
- No refunds will be issued after delivery of final files
- Editing style and creative direction are at the discretion of Merlot Visuals
Service Satisfaction
Merlot Visuals is committed to delivering high-quality creative work aligned with the agreed vision.
However, refunds will not be issued based on subjective preferences after the shoot has been completed.
Exceptions
Refunds may only be considered in the rare case of:
- Photographer cancellation without ability to reschedule
- Failure to deliver agreed services
These exceptions are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Agreement
By booking a session, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund & Returns Policy.
